Top Trends of the Asia Talent Market 2022

Even more than ever, trends are continuously changing because of adaptation, technology, and the overall progression of humanity. By 2022, we believe that the Asia talent market will be highly demanding, with most specialities primarily focusing on technology. To gain a more comprehensive insight into these, we suggest you become familiar with the below:

1. Algorithm Designer

Since the first self-learning algorithms were developed, it’s dramatically changed how we’re presented information online. An algorithm designer is usually visualised as a superhuman. They’re computer scientists with a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence, maths, coding, and much more.

Large corporate businesses are already using algorithms to enhance profits. The most notable is Google, with its advertising platform. Their algorithm can receive data from recent searches, IP addresses, and more, allowing advertisers to target specific audiences. It works superbly and brings in Google half a billion dollars in three days.

The industry that categorises algorithm designers is artificial intelligence (AI), and forecasts suggest that between 2021 and 2028, the industry will increase by 33.6% globally.

2. Cloud Computing

Next is cloud computing, and this skill has become more apparent within our daily society. It’s the delivery of computing services like storage, databases, networks, software, servers, analytics, intelligence, and much more.

It’ll help with everything that involves technology, meaning it’ll continue its significant importance for years to come. It allows for much easier storing, collaboration and is exceptionally scalable at an affordable price.

Currently, the market growth rate is substantial considering other skills and industries. By 2028 it’s expected to reach 1,251.09 billion US dollars in value and grow at a CAGR of 19.1%. From seeing these figures, it’s easy to conclude that cloud computing is a top skill that’ll be in demand within the Asia region.

3. Video Production

We’re now living in a time where digital assets are fundamental to a businesses growth. Video production is the entire process of creating a video, from pre, pro, and postproduction. Individuals with this skill can develop marketing material and films, practically anything that needs to be presented in video format to an audience.

Because everybody is heavily invested in technology, advertising through popular social media, search engines, or alternative platforms is usually a key area of interest for businesses. Therefore, being the reason behind engagement, sales, and performance makes video production a valuable skill.

The importance of video production is considerable, and that’s why it’s forecasted to have a CAGR of 16.7% between 2021 and 2028. Undeniably, this growth rate is significant, and it’s a skill more than worth investing your time into.

4. Cybersecurity

Because the world is focusing on digital technology, it’s evident that cybersecurity will become a demanding skill. In recent years, most of the population started to work from home during the pandemic. When this occurred, cyber hacking became a prominent issue. With more confidential information being stored on the cloud, knowledge within this area will be beneficial.

Currently, the fastest-growing market for cybersecurity is APAC. The global CAGR for this skill is 14.5% between 2019 and 2026, making it an excellent skill to start gravitating towards.
