Imagine, climbing a huge mountain for decades trying to reach the peak. When you’ve reached the top, the beautiful view you yearn for so long turns out to be nothing like you’ve ever imagined. In a bad way that is.
That, my dear friend, is a midlife crisis.
Since the term “Midlife Crisis” is not an official diagnosis, it is very difficult for researches to study. Researches vary with what constitutes a midlife crisis, as many factors come into play. For many, this is the time where most changes in their lives occur. From the passing of an aged parent to children growing up too fast. Working for a company for decades only to feel regretful of the career path they have chosen.
But is it a real phenomenon or is it just a myth? Are you affected by this? And is it true, the midlife crisis only occurs from a career perspective?
