Job Description

Main responsibilities:

Leadership and team development

  • Set team goals, develop the capability of the organization, build effective teams and provide planners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities:
  • Develop business objectives aligned with the company’s strategic pillars to meet our business and customer needs
  • Develop priorities and development plans for the planning team to deliver results
  • Develop and implement best practices in planning, inventory management, and demand planning.
  • Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure the team promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership and teamwork to achieve business results
  • Directly oversee training and development of team members in order to achieve desired result for all parties.
  • Lead projects and act as Subject Matter Expert for planning

Demand planning

  • Create an accurate APAC demand plan to support customer service targets while balancing financial responsibilities
  • Ensure regional coordination and training of markets’ forecasters
  • Reports forecast accuracy, determine root causes for inaccurate demand plans, build and execute action plans to increase demand plan accuracy
  • Prepare, communicate and educate local and regional teams on changes in policies and practices within the organization


Supply planning and execution

  • Develop strategic and operational inventory deployment plans for the region, manage execution and measure results
  • Develop planning and inventory team strategies and goals, ensure execution
  • Provide strategic planning support for key initiatives to increase efficiency and sustain company growth
  • Ensure that master data is developed and maintained 

Key metrics

The Demand and Supply Planning Manager is accountable for below metrics

  • Service level to each distribution Channel
  • Inventory level and quality
  • Costs vs Budget
  • Accuracy of supply plans generated


Experience and education

  • 3+ years management experience required
  • 5 years supply chain planning experience required
  • Masters degree required
  • APICS certification a plus
  • SAP master data, inventory management and DRP knowledge required
  • Excel proficiency
