The promise of a New Year makes a lot of us take stock of past accomplishments and challenges to identify our goals for the upcoming year. Because it is a fresh start after all! Or is it really? Old habits die hard. As a result, most New Year Resolutions will be broken by the 15th of this month.

For one thing, resolutions are not a wish list. In other words, you have to work for lasting change. How can you get to the place you want to be in 12 months time? Only with clearly set goals and a compelling vision, as Tony Robbins phrases it.
